Herschel Damons

Herschel Lewis Damons, 89 of Murfreesboro, formerly of Rives, passed away Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at the home of his son.
Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Monday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Brother Melvin Poe officiating. Burial followed in Obion County Memorial Gardens. The family received friends beginning at 11 a.m. until the hour of services.
Mr. Damons was born on June 19, 1932, to the late Claude and Marene (Faulkner) Damons of the Harris Station Community. He married Shirley Damons on March 17, 1958. She survives.
He worked for many years for the Gulf, Mobile and Ohio Illinois Central Gulf, and Illinois Central Railroad as a customer service agent. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Damons is survived by his son, Bart Damons, and his wife, Beth, of Murfreesboro.
