Monie McCloud

Ramona “Monie” Janyce McCloud, 85, of Union City died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Visions Community Baptist Church in Union City. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday at the church.
Rawls Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on April 3, 1936, to Lester and Dora Williams Caldwell in Rives.
She was a member Visions Community Baptist Church, past Matron of Order of The Eastern Star Bathsheba No. 16 OES. She was a graduate of Miles High School and Lane College, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. She was a retired elementary school teacher for Union City Schools.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Juan McCloud; sister, Winona Marie Hensley; a brother, Jerry Chambers; four grandchildren, two great-grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kinnie Lee McCloud Jr.; her parents; four brothers, Bobby Caldwell, Baby Boy Caldwell, Reggie Caldwell and Terry Chambers; one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
