Celebrating the Season — Nothing was going to rain on Kenton’s Christmas parade on Saturday evening, not even the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused several towns to cancel their holiday plans. Making their annual appearance were Santa Claus and his devoted elf, Peppermint, escorted by the Kenton Fire Department. Santa and Peppermint also spent some time at the White Squirrel Christmas Shoppe after the parade to meet with the children. Kenton Mayor Danny Jowers said he has  been thanked by several people for not canceling the parade.
