Daniel Russell
Mr. Daniel Russell, 68, a resident of Union City, died March 19, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.
Services were 3 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2026, at White-Ranson Funeral Home. The Rev. Chip Davis officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chad Jimerson, James Festervand, James Ryan Festervand, Roger Williams, Dickie McGee, Greg White, Jamie Roach, Cameron Anderson and Randy Barnes.
Honorary pallbearers were Randy Roney, Chapy Ingersoll, Tommy Jimerson, Jerry Calhoun, Kenneth Barnes, Aaron Boone, Terry Bass, Johnny Pugh, Tony Duncan and Freddie Preuett.
The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Russell was born on May 19, 1957, in Union City to the late Charles and Jane (Barnes) Russell. He worked as an Insurance Salesman for several years. On June 25, 1976, he married Cindy Olmstead. She survives. He was a member of Antioch Union Church.
Mr. Daniel attended Dixie School, then graduated from OCCHS, where he played basketball and football. He was an avid Rebel Fan and a member of the Crystal Community for over 50 years. He was a Charter Member of the Masquerade Theatre where he served on the Board of Directors. Also he performed in several plays and ballet recitals of UC Ballet.
He was a good man and his spirit and goodness will no doubt live on in the lives of others.

Mr. Russell is also survived by two daughters and their spouses, Amanda (Chad) Jimerson of Martin and Nicki (James) Festervand of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Isabella and Zack Jimerson of Martin and Samantha, James Ryan and Stella Festervand of Murfreesboro; a brother, Kyle Russell; and his chocolate lab, Jude.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rodger and Franklin Russell.
