Paul Whitehead,
Paul Whitehead, 63, of the Shawtown community passed away 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at his home.
Funeral services were conducted at Paul’s home in the Shawtown community at 1 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2026. Brother Brian Duncan officiated. Burial followed at Paul’s home.
Pallbearers were Timbo Smith, Jamie Whitehead, Zach Moore, Bobby Runions, Dusty Spillman and Justin Smith.
Honorary pallbearers were be Blake Bloxom and family and friends.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Paul was born Feb. 5, 1963, in Dyersburg, son of Frankie (White) Whitehead and the late Buddy Whitehead. He married Tammy (Sharp) Whitehead Aug. 12, 2006. Paul had been employed at Storey’s Sawmill in Troy and Reynolds Brothers Tire Company in Union City.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Whitehead of the Shawtown community; his mother, Frankie Whitehead of the Shawtown community; four children, Michael Whitehead of the Shawtown community, Brian Duncan (Amanda) of Martin, Rebecca Popowich (Justin) of Pontotoc, Miss., and April Hale (Steven) of South Fulton; eight grandchildren, Codey Whitehead of Troy, Hannah Duncan and Eli Duncan, both of Martin, and Jacob Hughes, Abigail Hughes, Landon Popowich, Madison Popowich and BB Popowich, all of Pontotoc, Miss.; two sisters, Ruthann Runions (Chuck) of Hohenwald and Debbie Eakes (James) of Hickman, Ky.; three brothers, James Whitehead (JoAnn) of Obion, Raymond Whitehead (Jan) of the Shawtown community and Joe Whitehead (Jo Lynn) of Hohenwald; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Whitehead; one son, Justin Whitehead; and three nephews, Adam Whitehead, Roger Runions and Chandler Smith.
