Danny Morefield
Danny Rodgers Morefield, 78, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Union City, passed away suddenly at his home on Nov. 3, 2025.
Born on Feb. 9,1947, in Fulton, he grew up in the Cayce, Ky., community. Danny was a teacher for Rutherford County and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. plant in Union City. He loved U.K. Basketball and had been an avid golfer for many years.
Danny is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna Sullivan Morefield; a son, Michael (Chasity) Morefield; two grandchildren, Addy and Austin Morefield; a sister-in-law, Lisa Sullivan; a brother-in-law, Roger Gordon; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kristie Dannette Morefield; a son, Richard (Ricky) Daniel Morefield; his parents, Claudie and Geneva Morefield; a sister, Judy Gordon; and a brother, Leslie Morefield.
A private memorial service was held at Obion County Memorial Gardens.
