Barbara Ledbetter
Barbara Jean Ledbetter, 83, of Rives passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 11, 2026, at her home.
Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rosehill Cemetery in Obion. Rev. Judd Mowery and Rev. Brian Nance will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Josh Cox, Justin Johnson, C.J. Ledbetter, Josh Ledbetter, Joey Harrison and Lynn Elam.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
Barbara was born Oct. 20, 1942, in Obion County, daughter of the late David Tillman and Imogene (Pursell) Owens. She married Billy Ledbetter Nov. 6, 1960. She retired from the Obion County Board of Education as a dietary bookkeeper. She loved flowers, going to the beach and giving to others. Barbara was a lifetime member of Troy Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Billy Ledbetter of Rives; her daughter, Kellye Ledbetter of Park Hills, Ky.; her son, David Ledbetter (Anna) of Troy; two grandchildren, Molly Ledbetter of Troy and Chad Brown (Josie) of McKenzie; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lisa Ledbetter; and one brother, George Owens.
