Mark Carlton
Mr. Mark Alan Carlton, age 71, of Hickman, Ky., passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on March 5, 1954, in St. Louis, Mo., to the late Guy Morris Carlton and Betty Jean Ethridge Hill of Hickman, Ky.
Mark was a United States Navy veteran and a member of the Christian faith. He enjoyed fishing and gathering pecans, and he deeply cherished time spent with his family and friends. He was especially devoted to his grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Grand Papa Farkle.” Mark was also a loving and devoted son.
In addition to his mother, Betty, he is survived by his daughter, Leah Carlton of Madisonville, Ky.; and two grandchildren, Kennedy Grace Baldwin and Aslynn Claire Dunbar, both of Madisonville, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, Gary Lynn Carlton and David Morris Carlton.
Graveside services for Mr. Mark Carlton were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, at Brownsville Cemetery. There was no visitation at the funeral home. Friends and family were asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Hickman was in charge of arrangements.
