Thomas Richards
Thomas Ray Richards, 89, of Union City passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. Frank Gardner will officiate. Burial will follow in Stanley’s Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Hall, Skylar Hall, Ben Wilkins, Grady Wilkins, James Richards and Mike Haynes.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from noon until the hour of services Friday.
Thomas was born March 29, 1936, in Obion County, son of the late Waymon Thomas and Crystal Irene (Thurman) Richards. He married Pat (Holloway) Richards Jan. 30, 1976. Thomas had served in the United States Army and retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He enjoyed tractors, riding 4 wheelers, bowling and attending truck and tractor pulls. He was a member of Stanley’s Chapel Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pat Richards of Union City; his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Rose Richards of Union City; his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jason Hall of Union City; one sister, Ann Jenkins and husband, Steve, of Sterling, Va.; four grandchildren, Skylar Hall and Keatyn Hall, both of Union City, and Christie Wilkins and husband, Ben, and James Richards and wife, Charity, all of Troy; and five great-grandchildren, Grady Wilkins and Maggie Wilkins, both of Troy, and Ruth Richards, Hannah Richards and Reuben Richards, all of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Faye Roberts.
