Hurley Ray Ransom
Hurley Ray Ransom, 87, of Woodland Mills passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at Diversicare of Martin.
Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, at Cobbs Chapel Cemetery near Hornbeak. Jackson Doss will officiate.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Hurley Ray was born Aug. 3, 1938, in Hornbeak, son of the late Rice Crafton Ransom and the late Lucille (Robinson) Ransom Burtchett. He was a retired employee of Tecumesh in Paris.
He is survived by two daughters, Cheri Roberson of Union City and Vicki Raley of the Clayton community; two sons, Hurley Ray Ransom Jr. and Jamie Ransom, both of Westland, Mich.; and several grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Luther Ransom.
