Steve McCullough

Steven Royce “Steve” McCullough, 70, of Troy passed away on Oct. 2, 2025.
Born on Dec. 8, 1954, Steve was a lifelong resident of Obion County and the son of the late T.C. and Ellen Sellers McCullough.
Steve retired after 26 years of service with the United States Postal Service, where he was well-known and well-loved mail carrier. He was also a skilled carpenter who enjoyed working with his hands. Outsite of work, he found joy in restoring old cars, collecting too many antiques and spending time with his friends and family.
Steve will be remembered for his laid-back personality, good sense of humor and loyal friendship to so many. He had a sharp mind and a big heart. Steve loved talking about the stock market and his latest project just as much as he loved trading stories with friends. He was very thoughtful, and the kind of person you could always count on — the best kind of friend a person could have.
He is survived by his sons, Clay McCullough of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Garrett McCullough of Claremont, Calif.; his brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Cheryl McCullough Germantown; his niece, Teresa Goetsch, and her husband, Curt; and their daughters, Kyra and Kate.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Chris McCullough.
A visitation service will be held at Cryer Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025, from 3-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
