Calvin Speed
Mr. Calvin Speed, 76, a resident of Hornbeak, died Sept. 24, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at East View Cemetery. Rev. James Barnett officiated.
White-Ranson Funeral Home was in charge of services.
Family and friends were asked to meet at the cemetery.
Mr. Speed was born on Dec. 28, 1948, in Union City to the late Marion Roy “Buzz” and Dortha (Gray) Speed. He was an Engineer for the Railroad.
Mr. Speed is survived by a son, Nathan Speed and wife, Bridget; two granddaughters, Addi Speed and Marli Speed; and two grandsons, Ryker Speed and Briggs Speed. all of Proctorville, Ohio.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Tony Speed.
