Shawnda Cook
Shawnda Cook, age 59, of Union City passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Shawnda was born in Lexington, Tenn., on Nov. 3, 1965, to the late Harold Rushing and the late Mary Lou Williams Rushing. She was married to John Cain. Together, they ran Cain’s Pools for many years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Hunter Lindsey and his wife, Ashley, of Union City, Cace Cook of Union City and Chloe Cook of Nashville; her stepson, J.D. Cain of Union City; two grandchildren, Tegan Lindsey and Logan Elmore; her sister, Daphne Rush of Lexington, Tenn.; her nephew, Celtic Rush and his wife, Brittney; and two great-nieces, Addison and Cady Lou Rush.
