Viriginia “Ms. Jenny” as she was affectionately known spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her; a beautiful soul whose kindness knew no bounds. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered. She was not shy about her love for her family but never missed an opportunity to share her faith in the Lord. She wanted others to know the peace and assurance she lived out day by day.
On Aug. 16, 1958, she married the love of her life, John H Dyer. Their life together was built on a foundation of faith in their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They shared a love for music, serving in church and serving others. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. She was very active in community organization throughout their life. Virginia loved taking care of family and others and was a talented seamstress and cook. A highlight of their life together was camping and square dancing.
Virginia leaves behind a loving family including her husband of 66 years; children, Debbie McElroy (David-deceased), John R. Dyer (Patricia) and Dawn Patrick (Steve); former daughter-in-law, Mel Goad (Chris); grandchildren, Stephanie Copeland, Lauren Campbell, Michael Dyer and Isabel Goad; great-grandchildren, Kyle Dwyer, Kayla Dwyer, Jordan Copeland, Tyler Copeland, Gage Fraley, Peyton Gwaltney and Carter May Dyer; seven great-great-grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew and a host of family and friends.
