Ronald James
Ronald Prather “Ron” James, 82, of Springville passed away 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Randy Stephens will officiate. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025.
Ron was born June 7, 1942, in Oak Park, Ill., son of the late Prather “Jack” and Mary Sue (Treece) James. He was married to Betty (Townsend) James who preceded him in death Sept. 6, 2021. Ron was a carpenter and the owner and operator of The Floor House in Paris prior to his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, water skiing and spending time outdoors. Ron was a member of Sulphur Wells Church of Christ in Paris and was a Mason.
He is survived by two sons, Joey James and wife, Tammy, of Springville and Jamie James and wife, Ashley, of Paris; his brother, Don James and wife, Lana, of Mason; four grandchildren, Armie James of Denver, Colo., and Parker James, Macie James and Reed James, all of Paris; and one great-grandson, Wilson Powers of Springville.
He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lindsey James; and one sister, Marti James Owens.
