SEEING SF
SEEING SF — A tour of South Fulton was part of the itinerary Monday when Christine Sorensen (third from right), national lead for engagement with Rural Partners Network, U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development, visited far western Kentucky and northwest Tennessee. During the stop in South Fulton, city manager Joyce Gray (far left) showed off Unity Park and told about plans to seek grant funding which would add playground and other equipment to promote physical activity for children and adults. They were joined by Mark Welch (second from right), president of Fulton-Hickman Counties (Ky.) Economic Development Partnership; and Brad Rodgers, a community liaison with Rural Partners Network, USDA Rural Development. They also visited a couple of businesses and talked about street repair needs. Earlier in the day, Ms. Sorensen attended the Fulton County (Ky.) Fiscal Court meeting; visited Hickman (Ky.) City Hall; and toured Hickman, the riverport and a recycling center which will be turned into a workforce training center for Fulton County Detention Center inmates. She had lunch at The Citizens Bank in Hickman before heading to the South Fulton municipal complex.
