Mike Busby Sr.
Mr. Mike Busby Sr., age 65, of Dyersburg and formerly of Hornbeak, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024.
He was born on Jan. 3, 1959, in Union City to the late Earl Busby Jr. and Shirley Johnson Kelly.
Mike was the owner of Busby’s Painting Company. He loved riding motorcycles, taking care of his family and his dog Binky. He also loved working on his truck.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Jo Pickering Busby; a son, Michael Busby Jr. of Union City; a daughter, Kasa Busby of Warren, Ark.; five grandchildren, Aaliyah Davidson, Olivia Davidson and Blake Johnson, all of Warren, and Bryleigh Busby and Ellik Busby, both of Obion; a brother, Lynn Busby of Hickman, Ky.; and two sisters, Twana Busby of Troy and Sharrie (Mike) McKenzie of Troy. He was also survived by an expected great-grandson, Liam Parker.
There will be no services held at the funeral home.
Hornbeak Funeral Chapel-Hickman is in charge of arrangements.
