John Fields Jr.

John Fields Jr., 82, a resident of Jackson, passed away March 20, 2024, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home. Bro. Steve Skelton and Bro. Scott Fields officiated. Burial followed in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Jerry Webb, Joshua Baum, Greg Baum, Jeff Davidson, Stacy Crosser, and Scott Fields. 
Visitation was from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday at funeral home.
Mr. Fields was born on May 27, 1941, in Osceola, AR, to the late John and Wilma (Cole) Fields. He was a Baptist Pastor for over 40 years and was in the Navy. On June 5, 1960, he married Kay Hardy. She passed away on July 3, 2019. He was a member of Keely Mills Baptist Church in Dyer.

He is survived by a son, Scott Fields and wife, Marcia, of Troy; two daughters, Johnna Baum and husband, Greg, of Jackson and Taylor Robinson of Memphis; two granddaughters, Cady Webb and husband, Jerry, of Bells and Maddie Fields of Milan; two grandsons, Troy Phelps of Memphis and Joshua Baum of Jackson; great-grandson, Landon Webb of Bells; great-granddaughter, Harper Webb of Bells; and sister, Sally Stevens of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by his son, John Elliot Fields.
