Sheila Foster

Miss Sheila Diane Foster, 64, of Union City went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, peacefully with her mother by her side.
Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Shane Long officiated. Burial followed in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Billy Wayne Long, Tim Long, Mike Long, David Long, Drake Beard and Brandon Hutcheson.
Diane was born Dec. 11, 1959, in Dyersburg, daughter of the late Billy Joe Foster, who preceded her in death in 2020, and Janice (Long) Bookout.
She had attended special education classes at the former Miles Elementary. Diane had been employed at the former Ryan’s in Union City. She was a member of Healing Faith Family Worship Center in Union City. Diane loved church, enjoyed being with people, listening to music and singing.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Janice and Richard Bookout of Union City; her brother, Gary Foster (Rachel) of Temescal Valley, Calif.; her half-brother, Jeff Foster (Theresa) of Elizabethtown, Ky.; her stepmother, Elizabeth Sharpe Foster of Elizabethtown; her nieces and nephews, Elijah Foster, Joshua Foster and Selah Foster, all of Temescal Valley, Payton Foster of Trenton, Madisan Foster and Dylan Foster, both of Elizabethtown, and Cameron Starr of Dallas, Texas; her aunts and uncle, Jean (Long) McLemore of Bartlett, Betty (Long) Isbell of Union City and Billy Roy Long of Rives; and 16 cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Finis and Lovelle Long and James and Lema Foster; and one aunt, Carol Jean (Foster) Council.
