Billy Long
Mr. Billy Roy Long, 90, of Rives passed away 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Union City Health and Rehabilitation.
Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Healing Faith Family Worship Center. Pastor Shane Long will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Healing Faith Family Worship Center from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Billy was born Dec. 11, 1935, in Rives, son of the late Finis and Ruth Lovelle (Huey) Long. He worked for Sterling Kincaid and was a member of Healing Faith Family Worship Center. He loved the outdoors and fishing.
He is survived by three sons, Billy Wayne (Robin) Long, Tim (Trisha) Long and Shane (Kristy) Long, all of Union City; seven grandchildren, Abigail Long, Sarah (Brandon) Hutcheson, Lindsay Beth (Trevor) Wallace, Caleb (Shea) Long, Audrey Long, David Long and Natalie Long; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Imogene McLemore of Memphis, Janice Bookout of Union City and Betty Isbell of Union City; several nieces and nephews; one stepson, Richard Carlton of Maryland; and one stepdaughter, Cindy Veach of Newbern.
He was also preceded in death by his two wives, Juanita (Turner) Long and Marlene Long; two brothers, Lloyd Long and Gaylon Long; one stepson, John Carlton; and two stepdaughters, Janet Thompson and June Carlton.
