Ronnie Harris
Mr. Ronnie Wardell Harris, 76, a resident of Rives and the Crockett Community, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at the Henry County Healthcare Center and Plumley Rehabilitation in Paris, Tenn.
There will be no services. White Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Harris was born Oct. 9, 1947, in Obion County to the late Elsie (Forrester) and late Bernice Wardell Harris. He married Elizabeth Angeline Moore on Feb. 4, 1989. She survives.
Mr. Harris was a United States Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam.
Mr. Harris owned and operated Harris Construction in Union City for 25 years before retiring. He also worked at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Union City for 11 years. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church in Union City. He was also a member of the Jones-Walker VFW Post 4862 in Union City, as well as a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Angeline “Angie” Harris of Rives; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny (Rick) Cagle of Rives, Rhonda (Kevin) Griffin of Rives and Anne (Rodney) Cummings of Simpsonville, S.C.; two sons, Shane Harris of Memphis and Sam (Amanda) Handley of Sheboygan, Wis.; eight beloved grandchildren; and two beloved great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Judy Carter of Murray, Ky., and Sonnie (Allen) Neeley of Union City; and two brothers, Roger (Jean) Harris of Union City and Rickie (Tammy) Harris of Union City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother-in-law, Glenn Carter.
