James A. Workman
Mr. James A. Workman, age 92, of South Fulton passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at Van Ayer in Martin.
He was born on December 27, 1931, in Palmersville to the late Carl Workman and Bertha Berryman Workman.
James was a United States Navy veteran, serving in the Korean War. He retired from Jiffy Steamer as a repairman.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Estes Workman, whom he married February 19, 1952; a son, Randy (Kathy) Workman of Union City; a daughter, Debbie (Jimmy) Tull of Fulton, Ky.; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Michael) Palmer of Bradford, Amy (Scott) Prather of South Fulton, Jerry (Mandy) Hopper of Pinson and Lori (Dale) Nelson of Milan; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lou Kowowski of Elk Grove, Ill.; and a brother, Earl Workman of Palmersville.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2024, at Obion County Memorial Gardens. There was no visitation held at the funeral home and friends were asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
Hornbeak Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
