Donna Staten
Donna Staten, 78, of Union City passed away 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at the home of her daughter, Sandra Doss.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Justin Hiens officiated. Burial followed in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held at the funeral home from noon until the hour of services Sunday.
Pallbearers were Jackson Doss, Jonathan Doss, Don Fuller, Chris True, Craig True and Curt True.
Honorary pallbearers were Greg Allen, Hunter Cloar and Jack Williams.
Donna was born Jan. 1, 1945, in Union City, daughter of the late Everett Jackson and Dorothy Pauline (Nipp) McCullough. She married Floyd Staten Jr. Aug. 28, 1966. He preceded her in death Jan. 20, 2013. Donna retired from the Obion County Health Department as a registered nurse. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School class.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Doss and Connie Bargery, both of Union City, and Suzanne Staten of Paragould, Ark.; five grandchildren, Rebecca Bargery of Clinton, Ky., Emily Cloar and husband, Hunter, Lacy Bargery, Jackson Doss and Jonathan Doss, all of Union City; one aunt, Maurice McKinnis of Union City; and one uncle, Ferrell Nipp of Union City.
