Roy Herron motions court to withdraw as counsel for Wu

Story by Shannon Taylor Senior Investigative Reporter

On March 30 Attorney Roy Herron submitted a notice of appearance and motion to substitute counsel.

The motion states that Mary Jo Middlebrook, who specializes in family law, enters her notice of appearance and to avoid the unnecessary legal expenses of two attorneys, Herron requests to be allowed to withdraw from the case and that the motion to substitute counsel be granted.

Chancery Judge Michael Maloan signed the order granting Herron’s motion.

The next hearing for the Jo Floyd/Yueh Feng Wu case is scheduled to be heard April 14 at 11 am in the Chancery Court of Weakley County Courthouse.
