Pleas Luker

Mr. Pleas Luker of the Jackson Chapel community passed away Thursday afternoon, Jan. 23, 2023, at his residence.
Pleas was born on Sept. 3, 1944, in Troy to the late Homer Luker and Ethel Smith Luker.
He was a retired computer programmer for MTD and had moved to the Jackson Chapel community several years ago from Sharon.
Pleas is survived by his wife, Velma Finch Luker; a daughter, Pleasanna Arnold of Trenton; a stepdaughter, Marsha Jordon of Wingo, Ky.; a stepson, Ronnie Grissom (Amy) of Mayfield, Ky.; grandchildren, Devenne Grissom, R.B. Crider, Corey Grissom, Dalana Crider and Samantha Grissom, all of Mayfield, and Lukas Arnold of Trenton; great-grandchildren, Everleigh Crider, Isabella Walker and River Benji Crider, all of Mayfield; and a brother, Don Luker ( Joyce) of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Daisy Jeter; and a brother, James Luker.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hornbeak Funeral Home, with burial following at Terrace Hill Cemetery in Troy. Visitation was held at 11 a.m. Sunday until the funeral hour.
