Jean Hollis

Mrs. Jean Hollis, 75, a resident of Hornbeak, died Jan. 24, 2023, at her home.
The family received friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at White & Mahon Funeral Home.
Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Terrace Hill Cemetery. Steve Pinion officiated.
Pallbearers were Charles Bounds, Johnnie Singleton, Donald Sherrill, Justin Hollis, Hunter Crowder, Dylan Parnell, Colton O’Dell and Ricky Tidwell.
Mrs. Hollis was born on Aug. 12, 1947, in Ridgely, daughter of the late Ernest and Ruby (Johnson) Camper. She worked as a press operator for Dana Corporation. On June 21, 1991, she married Freddie Hollis. He survives.
She is also survived by two daughters, Donna (Brandon) Tarver of Obion and Christy Parnell of Dyersburg; three sons, Michael Sherrill of Hornbeak, Rodney Sherrill of Buchanan and Justin (JoAnn) Hollis of Roellen; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy Lessard of Puryear; and a brother, Bennie Camper of Puryear.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Ray Sherrill; three sisters; two brothers; and two great-grandsons.
