Martin woman arrested for shoplifting

A Martin woman is facing shoplifting charges after tag switching at Walmart.

On Jan. 23 at 9:48 p.m., Patrolman Austin Wynn with the Martin Police Department responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting incident.

Upon arrival, Wynn made contact with the complainant who stated that on Jan. 5 at approximately 3:18 p.m., 34-year-old Erica D. Sharpe was ticket-switching items at Walmart and the items stolen were valued at $46.43, but Sharpe paid $8.28 towards the items. The restitution for the stolen items was $38.15.

Sharpe was charged with shoplifting.
