Greenfield man charged with reckless endangerment
On Jan. 2 at 8:33 p.m., Patrolman Jeff Mathews was dispatched to gun shots fired inside a residence on Jackson Street.
Weakley County Dispatch was able to make contact with 41-year-old Michael D. Baker via phone and Baker came out of the residence with his hands up.
Baker was advised why Greenfield PD was there and Baker stated that he had shot one round into the floor of his residence due to a personal matter.
Baker showed Mathews where the firearm was located in the bedroom with one hole in the floor and one shell casing on the bed. The firearm was taken in for evidence.
Baker was arrested and charged with one count of reckless endangerment. He was given his Miranda Rights and declined to make a statement. There were no other people inside the residence.
