Dresden man charged with two counts of simple assault

Brock Arnold

Story by Shannon Taylor Senior Investigative Reporter

On Dec. 7 around 2:30 p.m., Investigator Ethan Lee of Dresden Police Department was patrolling D&C Subdivision when he rode upon a verbal altercation happening in the middle of the road between Brock Arnold, Sherry Vickers and Dale Holt.

When Lee arrived, he witnessed Arnold threatening Holt in his driveway. Lee spoke to Vickers who stated that Arnold was over in the back of their house trying to get a bike from the shed. When Vickers’ 14-year-old daughter confronted Arnold, he started to threaten her as well as Vickers. Holt then came across the road to intervene and protect Vickers when Arnold started to threaten Holt.

While Lee was there speaking with Vickers, he witnessed Arnold go back over to talk to Holt again and noticed that Arnold smelled of alcohol and that he was uneasy on his feet. Lee noted that Arnold was not supposed to be drinking while on probation.

Arnold was arrested for simple assault on two counts and public intoxication.
