Martin man arrested for aggravated burglary and schedule II

On Nov. 17, Deputy Benjamin Sumner with the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department, was called to an active burglary in Martin. Upon arrival, Ms. Jenkins stated over the phone that she had a video of 26-year-old Tab Johnson leaving the property with a firearm and ammo can stolen from the property.

Johnson then returned to the property where his vehicle was searched. A metal container was found on his person containing a substance believed to be meth. The firearm and ammo can were found in his vehicle. The substance was field tested and confirmed to be meth.

Johnson was charged with aggravated burglary, theft of property and possession of schedule II. He was booked with the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department.
