Sharon woman arrested for criminal trespassing in Martin

On Nov. 10 at approximately 6:28 p.m. Patrolman John C. Fulcher with the Martin Police Department was dispatched to 134 Courtright Road (Walmart) in reference to an individual that criminally trespassed.

Previously, on June 5, 2022, at approximately 9:29 p.m. Mealer had a buggy full of merchandise at Walmart that she was attempting to shoplift but, according to affidavit, Mealer got nervous and grabbed the man she came in with and left. All items were recovered, and no restitution was owed.

Upon arrival on Nov. 10, Fulcher made contact with the complainant and the offender, 36-year-old Jessica Kay Mealer from Sharon. The affidavit stated that “Ms. Mealer was originally trespassed by Officer Wynn on Dec. 2, 2021.”

After running Mealer’s driver’s license, it was discovered that she had a warrant out of Weakley County General Sessions for violation of probation on July 14, 2022.

Mealer was placed under arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and violation of probation.
