TOP HOG — Molly Pitts, daughter of Harris and Annie Pitts of Troy, showed the Grand Champion hog in Tuesday night’s Junior Market Livestock Sale during the Obion County Fair. The 226.98-pound animal sold for $13 per pound or $2,950.74 to Clay Sydnor Crop Insurance and Obion Farmers Co-Op. Representing the buyers were (from left) John Wylie of Obion Farmers Co-Op, Clay Sydnor of Clay Sydnor Crop Insurance, Miss Pitts and Rob Berner of Obion Farmers Co-op. The auction, which raised more than $200,700 for local youngsters, was held in the Hunter Miller Livestock Barn. Auctioneers Marvin Alexander (background left) and Dale Bolding donated their services to the auction.
