TO RELINQUISH CROWNS — The Obion County Fairest of the Fair queens from 2021 will be relinquishing their crowns Aug. 20 as the Obion County Fair opens an eight-day run of the annual event. Among those who will be crowning new queens are (front, from left) Wee Miss Banks Leigh Baggett of Troy, daughter of Kurt and Ashley Baggett; Tiny Miss Mia O’Neal of Union City, daughter of Lorenzo ONeal and Crystal Edgar; Petite Miss Harper Akin of Union City, daughter of Chris and Candace Akin; Young Miss Kaylee Roney of Union City, daughter of Nicole Walker and Josh Roney; (back) Junior Miss Mia Bird of Union City, daughter of Kalli Whitworth and Derrick Bird; Teen Miss Ivy Kate Morris of South Fulton, daughter of Rob and Jamie Morris; and Obion County Fairest of the Fair Kylie Baggett of Union City, daughter of Melanie Walker and Russ Baggett. Other 2021 queens (not pictured) are Toddler Miss Lily Mayfield of Obion, daughter of Nick and Kassy Mayfield; and Little Miss Carlisle Peery of Union City, daughter of Charles and Kylie Peery. Applications for this year’s pageants are available at https://www.obioncountyfair.net or at the fair office. The $30 entry fee and application must be submitted no later than Aug. 18.
