EASTER HELPERS — The Easter Bunny got some help from (from left) Charles Coble, Mary Anna Coble and Sheila Fortner, all of Union City, with placing candy in plastic eggs Wednesday night in preparation for the annual Easter egg hunt at the Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 on Saturday. The event begins at 2 p.m. for children from birth to 12 years old and will be held rain or shine. In addition to monetary prizes in some of the eggs, there will also be baskets and toys available for those who participate. Following the egg hunt, the VFW will host a spaghetti dinner and cake walk at 5 p.m. The menu includes spaghetti, salad, bread and tea for $10 a plate. The cake walk will start after dinner, with tickets being a quarter per walk. The public is invited to attend.
