SAVED BY HIS SISTER

Four-year-old Brycen Choate, son of Zach and Brandy Choate of Troy, held on to the rope of a sled he and his siblings used to have fun in the 31⁄2 inches of snow which fell on Obion County Thursday. It was the same rope which would almost take his life later on Friday when he decided to sled without the supervision of his mother. The rope somehow got wrapped around his neck to the point he could not speak. Luckily for Brycen, his 8-year-old sister Avery  jumped into action and got the rope off his neck as their mother was being summoned. Mrs. Choate made a post about the incident on her Facebook page and contacted The Messenger to warn others about the hazards of sled ropes. “Please cut them off,” she pleaded.
