James Forrester

James H. Forrester, 74, of Martin died at his residence on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021.
Mr. Forrester was born in Union City on Dec. 8, 1946, to the late Virdie Bell (Butler) and Herman Forrester of Rives.
He attended Obion County Central High School. He served as a combat engineer in the United States Army during Vietnam. After he returned home, he established his own masonry business, which he owned and operated for nearly 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Janie Bell (Bill) Autry; and brother, Joey Forrester.
He is survived by his children, Michelle (Jonathan) Linam and Tina (Greg) Stover, all of Martin, Kimiko (Scott) White of Shelbyville and Dean (Claude) Aquilina, of Greenville, S.C.
His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were numerous and as follows: Kristi (Barry) McWhirter, Jason (Amanda) Stout, Christopher Boucher, Josh Damron, Jerry (Kala) Dam-ron, Ryan (Whitney) Stover, Madison (Ethan) Briley, Kane, Isaac and Charley Rae Jordan, and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear nieces, Emily (Jared) Holtzclaw and Tracy (Gary) Lannom, and his nephews, Scott Forrester and Bill Jr. Autry.
He attended Central Union United Methodist Church in Rives.
Murphy Funeral Home in Martin is in charge of arrangements.
