Sandra Lynn “Sandy” Johnson, 50, a resident of Union City, died Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Thurs-day, January 28, 2021, at Crosswind Church with Evangelist Brady Weldon, Pastor Fady Al-Hagal and Bro. Andy Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Thompson, Mathew Thompson, Johnny Dyer, Harry Johnson, Brad Boucher and Sam Walker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Thompson Jr., Wesley Edwards and Robert Pardue.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until hour of service on Thursday at Crosswind Church.
Sandy was born on January 18, 1971, in Jackson, Mich., daughter of Arthur Thompson of Napoleon, Mich., and Rosemary (Pugh) Williams of Woodland Mills. On May 19, 1990, she married Karl Johnson. He survives. She was a homemaker and a member of Crosswind Church. She loved arts and crafts, making jewelry and nurturing children.

In addition to her husband and parents, Sandy is survived by a daughter, Kelsey Johnson of Union City; four brothers, Michael Thompson and Daniel Thompson, both of Woodland Mills, Arthur (Adele) Thompson Jr. of Hawthorne, Fla., and Troy Bailey of Jackson, Mich.; her stepmother, Sharon Thompson of Napoleon, Mich.; her stepfather, Dennis Williams of Woodland Mills; a niece, Wendy Kersey of Troy; four nephews, Mathew (Katie) Thompson of Union City, Jacob Thompson of Southaven, Miss., Trevor Gentz of Jackson, Mich., and Rance (Keisha) Hooper of Union City; a great-niece, Alexus Hooper of Union City; three great-nephews, Jase Evans, Maddox Thompson and Harrison Hooper, all of Union City; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Gaynelle Johnson of Union City; and a sister-in-law, Kris (Johnny) Hooper of Union City.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Ethel Pugh; her grandfather, Larce Thompson; her grandparents, Rebecca and Floyd Jude; and several aunts and uncles.
