Bill Walling

Bill Walling, 61, of Dallas died Monday, Dec. 26, 2020, at his home of complications from liver cancer.
He was born Aug. 27, 1959, to Russell and Lottie B. Walling in Union City. He graduated from Union City High School in 1977.
He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin in June 1982 and a master of business administration degree from Mercer University in June 1987. He was a proud member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
During his career, he worked for several tech companies, including OKI, Siemens and Nokia. Also during his time with Siemens, he spent several years in Munich, Germany.
Bill was an avid Tennessee Vols fan and, of course, his favorite color was orange.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell; and his mother, Lottie.
He is survived by his sisters, Vickie Walling of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Donna Fields (Gary) of Union City; and a nephew, Jarred Williams (Carol) of Memphis.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Liver Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
