CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED — The Union City Fire Department stepped up Tuesday to do its part in helping “Pack the Patrol Car” for the Christmas food and toy drive being conducted by the Union City Police Department and Obion County Sheriff’s Office. Union City Baptist Temple pastor the Rev. Tony Keeton, who serves as a chaplain for Union City’s police and fire departments and is a huge Oklahoma Sooners football fan, has promised his congregation he will preach in a Tennessee Vols shirt Dec. 13 if they meet his challenge to bring enough canned goods to fill two tables this coming Sunday. The firefighters want to see it happen and accepted the challenge by filling one table with their donated food. On hand for the delivery were (from left) firefighter Carrie Dunn, Keeton, firefighter Kevin Steele, Firefighter First Class Mike Fussell and Lt. Rick Stacks.
