Jerry Sexton

Jerry Sexton, 82 of Dresden, passed away Monday,  November 23, 2020, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 2:00 pm, at Bowlin Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery near Latham.  The family will receive friends on Friday evening at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Saturday morning from 11:00 am until service time at 2:00 pm.  Mr. Sexton was born December 10, 1937 in Martin to the late James Robert and Ima Lois Roberts Sexton.  He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lewis Sexton, his sons, David W. Sexton of Joplin, MO. and Thomas Sexton of Newbern, TN, daughters  Debra (Gary) Casey of Como,  Julie (Robert) Baker of Dresden,  Sherrie (Joe) Hayden of Martin, Jennifer (Jason) Kemp of Dresden, and  Sandi (Connie) Roudenbush of Dresden,  brother, Larry (Joy) Sexton of Martin,  sister, Mary Nethery of Martin, 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by  two sons, B.E. Sexton, and Lynn Sexton,  brothers, James Sexton, Billie Joe Sexton, Thomas Sexton,  and 2 grandchildren.
