PROUD MOMENT — Aimee Muse used American Sign Language to interpret Obion County Central High School’s commencement ceremony Friday night for graduating senior Key’Shawn Williams, son of John and Rosela Williams of Troy. He was among the 207 graduates awarded diplomas in a ceremony held outdoors on the football field amid the threat of rain. Williams’ brother, Kalin Williams, who graduated last year, also used Mrs. Muse as an interpreter while he was in school. The brothers first attended the West Tennessee School for the Deaf until they began attending Hillcrest Elementary School in Troy when they started sixth grade. Mrs. Muse has been their interpreter since that time. (Photo courtesy of Teresa Hutchison)
