William Osteen Sr.

William “Bill” Osteen Sr., age 74, of Union City City passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at The Waters of Union City. Graveside memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Burkley Cemetery in Kentucky with Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home in Union City in charge of arrangements. Bill was born Nov. 23, 1945, in Martin, son of the late Clyde and Margaret Newton Osteen. He was retired from Kohler in Union City after 37 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Janice Kay “Jan” Taylor Osteen; one daughter, Judy (Kevin) Sandefer of Martin; one son, Bill Osteen Jr. of Martin; one step-son, Jerome (Julie) Leath of Union City; six grandchildren, Rachel (Justin) Britt, Cory (Holly) Sandefer, Mari Grace Osteen, Megan Osteen, Taylor Leath, and Jake Leath; five great-grandchildren, Sullivan Fortner, Ebby Britt, Isaiah Lovell, Reese Lovell and Jack Britt; one sister, Gayle Osteen of Smyrna; one brother, Joe Osteen of Union City; three nieces and 10 nephews. He was also preceded in death by three brothers Donnie Osteen and Randy Osteen; and three sisters, Jackie Janes, Dee Anderson and Brenda Josef.
