Local restaurant contributes to Nashville rebuilding

The Grind Mac and Cheese Burger Bar, local restaurant known for huge, awe-inspiring milkshakes, innovative burger creations and playful food infusions, announced today that it will be launching a “Nashville Strong” milkshake to show solidarity and help raise funds to help rebuild the beloved Music City. Proceeds from this delicious Goo Goo Cluster-themed milkshake will go toward efforts to rebuild the areas affected by tornado damage.

“Nashville is one of the greatest cities in the world and its citizens are some of the most resilient people,” said Mark Laderman, co-founder of The Grind Mac and Cheese Burger Bar. “Nashville will bounce back and we are proud to have the opportunity to contribute, if only in a small way, to the comeback of this amazing city,” said Alan Laderman, the other co-founder of The Grind Mac and Cheese Burger Bar.

The Grind will be showcasing the delicious Goo Goo Cluster-flavored NASHVILLE STRONG milkshake throughout March with proceeds of the sale of the shake being donated to help rebuild Nashville.

“We cannot think of a better milkshake theme to partner with than the iconic Nashville original, Goo Goo Cluster. Not only is it our favorite candy, but it was created right there in the great Music City,” says Mark Laderman.

About The Goo Goo Cluster

In 1912, in a copper kettle at Standard Candy Company in Nashville, America’s first combination candy bar was born. The Original Goo Goo Cluster is a roundish mound of caramel, marshmallow nougat, fresh roasted peanuts, and real milk chocolate. Today, the Goo Goo Cluster is also available in two additional varieties: Pecan and Peanut Butter. Still family owned and operated, the brand expanded beyond manufacturing in 2014 with the opening of their flagship Goo Goo Shop & Dessert Bar located in downtown Nashville.
