John Fox
John Fox, 81, of North Carolina, formerly of Obion, passed away in September 2019.
Born June 29, 1938, he was the son of the late Lawrence Fox and the late Florence Peacock Fox.
A graveside memorial will be held 11 a.m. March 14 at Fox Cemetery near Obion.
He leaves his daughters, Jenni Fox and Cathy Fox Smith (Joe), both of Newbern; two grandsons, Logan Fox and Joseph Smith of Newbern; two nephews, Gordon Fox of Union City and Ty Fox of Florida; and a niece, Carol Fox Abernathy of Union City.
He also leaves Amy Fox, Hank Childers and Beth Akles; his wife, Carolyn Counts Fox of North Carolina; and two stepchildren, Alex Counts and Michael Counts.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Sam Fox (Jo); and a treasured aunt, Sue Peacock.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Fox Cemetery, c/o Tim Fox, 1995 Clarence Fox Road, Obion, TN 38240.

John was one straight shooter. I worked for him at Lark Concrete which was a subsidiary of McAdoo Builders Supply when the Goodyear Plant was under construction in 1967 and 1968. He taught me his work ethic style which has helped me through out my life. I will miss him and I pray that his life has blessed all of you as it has my mine. God Bless!
