Patricia Sue Archer, 72, of Union City, formerly of Murray, Ky., passed from this life to her heavenly one early on Nov. 3, 2019, at her home due to a long illness.
Sue was born Feb. 19, 1947, in Detroit, to Stuart and Otilla Huckaby. They preceded her in death. She spent her teen and young adult life as a resident of Murray-Calloway County, Ky., and still has many friends there. She resided the last 34 years in Union City, where she also developed many friendships.
Sue leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Charles H. Archer; a daughter, Laura Archer of Troy; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Ray and Tracy Archer of Paris; one grandson, Stuart Archer of Paris; and relatives in East Tennessee and Houston.
Besides being devoted to Christ, her family and friends, Sue was also instrumental in organizing Pudge-N-Pals Humane Society in Obion County. The group has rescued many animals. She loved her animals. Before her death, Sue asked that anyone who wanted to honor her memory make donations to Reelfoot Animal Hospital, 402 West Reelfoot Ave., Union City, TN 38261, to help defray Pudge-N-Pals vet bills for the rescued animals.
The family wishes to thank everyone at First United Methodist Church and other friends who have been so kind and supportive during the time of Sue’s illness. God bless you all.
Sue’s body is being donated to Genesis for medical research. There are no services scheduled at this time.
