Jesse Morgan Livingston, 89, of Troy passed away 9:02 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Sunday at New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Dr. Melvin Poe officiated. Burial followed in New Ebenezer Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation was from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Pallbearers were Rob Muse, Nate Muse, Brice Pruyn, Jordan Hutto, Wayne Storey and Billy Joe Griffin.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He was born Jan. 29, 1930, in Meridian, Miss., son of the late Jesse Shaffer and Ima Irene (Tucker) Livingston. He married Fern (Storey) Livingston June 25, 1955. She survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean conflict. He was also a member of Troy First Baptist Church and attended New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is also survived by one daughter, Anitra Muse of Union City; one son, Jesse Lee Livingston of Union City; five grandchildren, Jessica Pruyn of Ashland City, Robert Muse of Troy, Hannah Hutto of Troy, Nathanael Muse of Troy and David Muse of Union City; and seven grandchildren, Brianna Pruyn, Elias Pruyn, Josiah Pruyn, Charlee Muse, Leah Muse, Will Muse and Autumn Hutto.
He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Bill Muse.
