Joe Dotson

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Ben Lownsdale and Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Zach Miller, Patrick Davis, Matthew Pollock, Kent Treece, Tony Speed and Terry Lamphier.
Mr. Dotson was born Dec. 27, 1935, in Lake County, son of the late Carles and Mai Fair (Owens) Dotson. He married the former Dorothy Daniel June 30, 1961. She survives. Mr. Dotson served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 in Union City. He had been employed as a carpenter and as a truck driver for Federal Express. Mr. Dotson was a member of Lake Road Baptist Church.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Shaun Bondurant of Woodland Mills; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael Joe and Tina Dotson of Kenton; three brothers, Horace Dotson of Troy and Fred Dotson and Dorsey Dotson, both of Union City; three grandchildren and their spouses, Tiffany and Matthew Pollock and Zach and Megen Miller, all of Troy, and Heather Dial of Woodland Mills; two step-grandchildren and the spouse of one, Paige Thornton and Patrick and Laura Davis, all of Martin; and 10 great-grandchildren, Ashanti Pollock, Mireya Pollock, Waylie Pollock and Peyton Miller, all of Troy, Gage Dial and Aubree Dial, both of Woodland Mills, Raelynn Culver and Ainsley Phillips, both of Martin, Gavin Thornton of Kenton and Brayden Davis of Georgia.
