Thomas Hart

Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Greater True Love Baptist Church at 955 South 18th St. in Clinton, where he was a member, with services following there at 1 p.m. Pastor Lionel Davis will officiate and interment will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes in Clinton is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Hart, Makai Hart, Evander Hart, Beal Rose, Ronnie Pettis and Aemerico Williams.
He was born in Fulton Jan 18, 1942, son of the late Willie M. and Earline (Jones) Hart. He was educated at the former Milton Elementary School in Fulton, the former Miles High School in Union City and Lane College in Jackson.
He was married to the former Mary Ann Johnson Dec. 27, 1960, in Hickman, Ky. She survives.
Mr. Hart had been employed as a supervisor in several jobs, including the former Swift plant in South Fulton, the Swift plant in Topeka, Kan., and the Swift plant in Clinton, until it closed. Later, he was employed by International Paper Co. in Clinton and retired from ADM there.
He is also survived by three sons and his daughter-in-law, David Hart of Davenport, Iowa, Thomas Hart Jr., of Moline, Ill., and Kevin and Amanda Hart of Clinton; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his brother, Paul Hart of San Jose, Calif.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Rickey Hart; his daughter, Penney Evone Hart; three brothers, Eugene Hart, Ive Lee Hart and Quentus Hart Sr.; and six sisters, Pearl Hart, Willie Bell (Hart) Sisson, Marie (Hart) Ingram, Bessie Lee (Hart) Hurt, Ella Mae (Hart) Nunley and Olga “Tina” Hart.
