Sam Edmiston

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rick Burton officiating, assisted by Ricky Waggoner and Kenneth Cheatham. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery near Hornbeak.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Roach, Glenn Patterson, Ricky Waggoner, Kenneth Cheatham, Joe Denton and Dick McNeil. Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Sweeney.
The family requests that memorials be made to Cobbs Chapel Cemetery Association.
He was born Sept. 24, 1957, in Union City, son of Clint and Hilda (Hailey) Edmiston of Hornbeak. He married the former Karen Denton Jan. 11, 1975. She survives. He was a retired employee of the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., where he had worked for more than 30 years, and was a member of Woodland Mills First Baptist Church.
He is also survived by his daughter, Ashley Edmiston of Union City; two sons and his daughter-in-law, Luke and Sandy Edmiston of Obion and Andrew Edmiston of York, Pa.; two grandchildren, Hallie Edmiston and Miles Edmiston, both of Obion; two sisters and his brother-in-law, Jane and Steve Lannom of Obion and Judy Kendall of Gallatin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Garner and Marie Edmiston; his paternal grandparents, Wood and Carrie Hailey; and his brother-in-law, Ted Kendall.
