Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Antioch Cemetery in the Crystal community, with Dr. Bobby Williams officiating. Her grandchildren and her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
There will be no visitation. White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Jan. 21, 1924, in St. Paul, N.C., daughter of the late Austin and Mattie (Hall) Walters. She married George Willard Coleman in 1940. He died in 1975. She then married Delbert Gentry in 1977. He passed away in 1996. She was a member of Walnut Log Baptist Church and was a former certified nurse’s assistant at the local hospital. She had also been employed at the former Reelfoot Packing Co. and at the former Salant & Salant.
She is survived by two daughters and her son-in-law, Ann and Fred Richards of Union City and Cathy Gaskins of Troy; her son and daughter-in-law, George and Edna Coleman of Union City; three grandchildren, Ricky Richards of the Walnut Log community, Jeremy Meacham of Troy and Valerie Griffith of Union City; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Richards, Hannah Richards, Bailey Meacham, Bentley Meacham, Coby Howell, Carly Howell and Catie Howell; two great-great-grandchildren, Jon Tyler Richards and Bentlee Richards; and her brother, Bill Walters of St. Paul, N.C.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angel Richards; and six brothers and sisters.
